Recently re-published by Oxfam John Lennon's Fat Budgie Christmas Cards are highly prized by Beatles collectors, this pair of original cards complete with envolopes feature in Liverpool's 2008 Beatles Auction at Lipa

Liverpool and the surrounding area in the early sixties, were just alive with places to go and clubs to be seen at this lot features a host of membership cards including Downbeat Club, Peppermint Lounge, Club Django (played by The Beatles) and a rare Passout for Manchesters famous Twisted Wheel

Beatles Memorabilia starts early in this case their school days both Paul McCartney & George Harrison attended the Liverpool Institue and are pictured on the 1956 school photograph. George Harrison had already left the Institute by the time the 1960(bottom picture) school photograph was taken, featuring  a more recognisable rocker Paul.

Both these items are featured in this years auction and

The Liverpool Jazz Society would later be called The Iron Door Club which while being one of Liverpool's most popular clubs the Beatles would never play there. This rare 1961 handbill for this venue features an all star line up of Liverpool bands Gerry And The Pacemakers, Rory Storm and the Wild Ones, The Big Three and of course The Beatles

This Cavern Membership Card shows perfect timing to see The Beatles dated 20th July 1962 the Beatles played a lunchtime session in the club the same day

Yellow Submarine is maybe the most popular Beatles film with children of all ages, this rare and highly collectable set of Primrose Beatles trading cards feature scenes from the film

This wonderful orignal Beatles Parlophone promotional card has one minor problem it's split in two, after spending years folded in a draw.

Still collectable this set of signatures could be the bargin of this years auction

This set of Beatles signatures obtained during the filming of The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour at West Malling in 1967 are highly prized amongst collectors of Beatles signatures due to rarity of sets from later in the groups career.

This set are in a dairy dated 1967 and were obatian by a member of RAF staff at the airport

Last year in our auction a fully signed copy of the Love me Do  single sold for an amazing £12,400!!

This year someone else who went along to the same record signing event in Dawsons Music Store Widnes shortly after the single was released has entered their signed singke into the auction.

Could we have another record breaker on our hands?

The Beatles and The Cavern Club are both names that will be forever linked with each other.

 This original handbill for The Beatles Fan Club night on 16th April 1962 , brings both these elements together. The handbill has been signed multiple times by all members of the group on the front, with the reverse of the handbill also featuring a full set of signatures with dedications

This lot featued in this year's Beatles auction at The Paul McCartney auditorium at LIPA on 24th August 2008
